Medicaid open data: SDUD and NADAC
CMS Medicaid open data (data.medicaid.gov, DKAN): State Drug Utilization Data (Medicaid units, prescriptions and dollars reimbursed by state, NDC and quarter) and NADAC (weekly National Average Drug Acquisition Cost per unit by NDC), collected per dataset-year through the public datastore API under the shared collector contract (source status, pinned paginated listing, single-record lookup). Two agent-facing NADAC functions answer price questions directly: `prices/search` reads the newest weekly file by drug name or NDC (or the rates that took effect in a date range) and `prices/history` returns every rate one NDC has had since 2013, each with CMS attribution.
