Frequently
asked questions

Everything you need to know about this use case.
General
The News category includes Benzinga's financial newswire plus tools for ticker news and press releases, central bank releases and speeches, newsletter archives and search trends. Firecrawl Search covers news from the rest of the open web on the same key.
Yes. Benzinga and Alexandria's ticker news tools take a ticker and return recent headlines, press releases and analyst actions with timestamps and source URLs.
Technical
It depends on the provider. Some return full text and others return metadata, a short preview and the source URL. When you need a full public article, Firecrawl Scrape fetches the page as clean Markdown on the same API key.
Use Firecrawl Monitor. Point it at a newsroom, a press release page or a web-wide topic, and it sends a webhook or email when something relevant appears. Your agent can then pull related records from Alexandria.
Integration
Yes. Alexandria's search trend tools return interest over time and by region, related and rising queries, and what is trending now, so you can see whether a story is gaining attention.
Some providers ask your organization to accept their data terms before the first call. An organization admin accepts them once in the Firecrawl dashboard under Settings, Data Sources, and every API key on the account can then use that provider.
Advanced
Yes. Connect the Firecrawl MCP server or call the API from your app. The model searches for news tools and web results, pulls dated articles with source links, and answers from those.
