Integrating Firecrawl was refreshingly simple. I had a prototype running in an afternoon using the Python library, after some initial testing in the Firecrawl dashboard. I especially appreciated being able to see exactly how many pages were being imported, so I knew if I was approaching any limits.
If we had to stop using Firecrawl, we’d miss the simplicity most—the developer experience, easy setup, and not having to worry about rate limits or proxying. I’ve built my own web scraping infrastructure before with Jina AI, custom crawlers, and Playwright, and it was exceptionally brittle. I’d constantly hit anti-scraping tech and CAPTCHAs.
