How to get real-time stock news in ChatGPT

• The problem: ChatGPT has no live newswire, so it answers stock news questions from training data and web pages that write about the story.

4. Mixed source quality. News sources don't carry the same credibility, and poorly vetted information leads to misleading conclusions (Quadratic). In a search result, a blog post repeating a rumor looks much like a newswire story.
5. Mistakes with numbers. A review of ChatGPT in finance found it makes factual mistakes with numerical data, including misstating how many studies a paper covered. LLM grounding in real data stops the model inventing figures, but it can still misread one.
6. Too many headlines. Markets produce thousands of headlines and press items a day (Quadratic). A chat reply shows a handful, so the useful ones have to be picked by ticker, topic and time first.
