Give Claude a name and an employer and get back a work email you can check, plus the person's current title to confirm the match. Turn on the Firecrawl connector and Claude can find someone's work email by asking FullEnrich and Apollo in Firecrawl Alexandria, and each address comes back with a confidence status.
Best for
- Getting an email address by name and company ahead of a sales, recruiting or partnership message.
- Identifying who to contact at a company when all you know is the role.
- Putting a name and employer to an address that just emailed you.
Connector and data providers
Connector: the Firecrawl connector. Lets Claude run Firecrawl Alexandria lookups, each one billed to your Firecrawl team.
Data providers in Firecrawl Alexandria
| Provider | Tool | Reach for it when |
|---|---|---|
| FullEnrich | Work email | You have a name and employer. Returns the likeliest business address with a status such as high probability, alternative addresses and the current role. Billed only when it finds an email. |
| Apollo | People search | You know the title and company but not the name. Free previews, each marked when an email is on record. |
| Apollo | Person match | You've picked someone from the previews. Returns their work email with Apollo's status, title and job history, and a miss is free. |
| FullEnrich | Reverse email lookup | You have an address and want the person and company it belongs to. |

Starter prompt
Fill in the person's details and paste this into Claude:
Use Firecrawl to find Jane Doe's work email at example.com through
Firecrawl Alexandria, and tell me each tool's price before you run it.
Try FullEnrich first. If that comes back empty, run Apollo's free people
search for her at example.com, and only pay for an Apollo match if one of
the previews is clearly the same person.
Return:
- Her most probable work email and the status the provider assigned.
- Any other candidate addresses.
- Her current title and start date, so I can tell it's the right Jane.
Business email only. Skip personal addresses and phone numbers. Before you start
- Add Firecrawl to Claude. On the Firecrawl connector page, hit Connect. Firecrawl's sign-in page opens next; log in, select the team to bill and approve. New users can register for free at that step. The Firecrawl in Claude page walks through it.
- Enable it per chat. In the + menu, open Connectors and turn Firecrawl on. Nothing to install or paste, and lookups bill to your team's plan.
- Have an admin accept FullEnrich's terms. It's a one-time step in the Firecrawl dashboard, needed before FullEnrich tools run for your organization.
Limitations of using Claude to find a work email
An email address is a short string that's useless unless every character is right, and a language model predicts likely text instead of checking records, which leads to five problems.
- A confident guess. Anthropic says Claude can occasionally produce incorrect or misleading answers, known as hallucinating (Anthropic). Given a name and a domain, firstname.lastname at that domain is the obvious thing to write, whether or not the inbox exists.
- Job changes after the cutoff. Claude models are trained up to a fixed date, and Anthropic notes they may not know about later events (Anthropic). Someone who moved companies since then still sits at their old employer in the model's memory.
- Web results are only as current as the page. Claude's web search answers from live pages and cites them (Anthropic), but Anthropic says response quality depends on the sources it references (Anthropic). An address on a two-year-old speaker page points to a past role.
- Testing an inbox yourself is unreliable. Twilio SendGrid advises against the so-called broken SMTP handshake for checking whether an address exists, in part because some mail servers accept a message before they validate the recipient.
- Named business addresses still carry obligations. The UK ICO treats email to corporate bodies differently from email to individuals, yet says data protection may still apply when you write to staff at addresses such as firstname.lastname@company (ICO). Claude won't raise this unless you ask.
How it works
Behind each lookup, Claude relies on:
- Firecrawl Alexandria: the data sources Firecrawl makes callable for AI agents. Firecrawl licenses data from over 100 official providers and pays for what agents retrieve, then adds a web index and narrower indexes for papers, code and government material. On a set of 845 evaluation tasks, with the model and prompts unchanged and an AI judge scoring blind, Firecrawl Alexandria lifted answer quality 21% over agents limited to built-in web tools.
- Two lookup paths: FullEnrich starts from a name and employer (a LinkedIn profile URL alone also works) and gives back its best-guess address with a status. Apollo previews people by title and company at no charge, then matches the one you choose to a work email.
- Charged on success: Claude checks the price before it runs a tool, and both providers bill only when the person or the email turns up.
- Business addresses only: because FullEnrich's terms prohibit marketing to personal email, this workflow stays on work email.
Finding a work email in Claude with and without Firecrawl Alexandria

Build your own email lookup workflow
Start from whatever you already have. If you know only the role:
With Firecrawl, find who runs partnerships at notion.so using Apollo's
free people search and show me the previews. After I pick one, get their
work email and current title. Don't reveal anyone I didn't pick.If you have a list of names:
Use Firecrawl and FullEnrich to get work emails for Ana Ruiz at stripe.com,
Tom Becker at shopify.com, Priya Nair at figma.com, Leo Park at linear.app
and Mia Chen at vercel.com. Put email, status and current title in a
table, and mark anyone who wasn't found. Each prompt says what you know, which provider goes first and what Claude shouldn't touch, which keeps every lookup cheap and pointed at the right person.

Looking around the catalog and its prices costs nothing. Claude only uses credits when it runs a provider tool, billed to your Firecrawl team (compare plans).
| Lookup | What you get back | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Apollo people search | Who fills a role at a company, as previews flagged when an email exists | Free |
| FullEnrich work email | A person's likeliest business address and its confidence status | 20 per email found |
| Apollo person match | A person's work email, title and job history | 30 per matched person |
| FullEnrich reverse email lookup | Who owns an address you have and where they work | 20 per match |
Each answer from Claude lists the lookup it ran and its credit charge.
Connect Firecrawl and hand Claude a name and a company. Checking which provider to use costs nothing.

Coverage limits
- Business email only. The prompts here target work addresses, and FullEnrich's terms prohibit marketing to personal ones.
- Some people can't be found. Neither provider has a work email for everyone, and an empty result isn't charged.
- Outreach rules still apply. Having an address doesn't answer consent or anti-spam questions in your country or the recipient's.
