UCSB Cylinder Audio Archive

The UCSB Library's archive of about 6,000 digitized phonograph cylinders (1890s to 1920s: brass bands, vaudeville, ragtime, opera, speeches, home recordings). Search by keyword, performer or composer, title, subject or genre, year, or call number, and read one recording with performers, composers and lyricists, label and issue number, release year, subjects, notes, every digitized take with its MP3 stream and download link, and a licence computed per recording: public domain for recordings made before 1923, otherwise UCSB's CC BY-NC 2.5 terms for its transfers. Audio is linked, never fetched.
